How long is the tenancy agreement?
The standard tenancy period is 12 months and can be extended. Early termination is possible in exceptional cases – for example, if you are taking part in an Erasmus exchange semester.

Rent & what’s included: how much is the rent and what does it cover?
The monthly rent is €660.00 (incl. VAT). This includes:
• all utilities (electricity, heating and Wi-Fi)
• a weekly cleaning service
• full access to all communal areas within the residence

Are there any additional costs?
Yes. The use of the washing machines and tumble dryers is not included in the rent. These facilities are located on-site and operate via a coin-based payment system.

Application & requirements: when and how can I apply for a room?
Applications open from June 2026. You can submit your application easily by email to studentresidence@deutschorden.it.

What information do I need to provide for my application?
Please include the following personal details in your email:
• First and last name
• Address and place of residence
• Date and place of birth
• Nationality
• Email address and phone number
• Tax code: Italian applicants should include their codice fiscale. Students from other countries will need to apply for a tax code upon arrival in Italy.
• Study details: name of the higher education institution in the Province of Bolzano, faculty, degree programme, year of study, and year of enrolment

What are the requirements to secure a room?
To officially reserve your room in the student residence, the following criteria must be met and supported by official documents or a self-declaration where applicable:
• Deposit: payment of a security deposit equivalent to two months’ rent
• Tuition fees: proof of payment of university tuition fees for the relevant academic year (this also applies to any contract renewal)
• Proof of enrolment: official confirmation of enrolment at a higher education institution in the Province of Bolzano.
